Sporting Futures proposes one system joining athlete pathways, multidisciplinary human performance, a governed Athlete Development Record, coach-led sport missions and research-to-product translation.

Its purpose is not to run another one-time talent hunt. Its purpose is to improve how sporting potential becomes sustained performance through longitudinal development, better coach decisions, responsible AI and indigenous sports technology.

IIT Bombay is proposed as the mission environment because relevant capabilities already exist across athletes and coaches, biosciences, biomechanical engineering, digital health, AI, incubation and alumni-led legacy projects.

Artificial intelligence is assistive. Proposed uses include measurement-quality checks, technique analysis, individual training response, athlete availability, competition analysis and equipment development. Destiny scores, autonomous deselection and autonomous diagnosis are prohibited.

The global model is a hybrid: athlete–education support associated with the United States, focused mission discipline associated with China, and the public reach of India’s existing KIRTI, Khelo India, SAI, NCOE, federation and TOPS pathways.
